Exceptional service recovery and customer care! Recently ordered a floral centrepiece for a significant milestone event, and while there was initially a hiccup, the Singapore Florist team went above and beyond to make it right.

Ordered a bouquet for a friend's birthday and the delivery was right on time. Stems were fresh, the wrap was elegant, and the recipient sent me photos within an hour to thank me. Would order again without hesitation.

Chinese New Year hampers for Singapore family and corporate gifting

Chinese New Year is the single biggest hamper occasion of the year in Singapore, larger than Christmas, Mother's Day, or any other gifting period. The Singapore Florist studio has been assembling CNY hampers since 1987, and the 2-week run-up to the new year is the busiest single window on our annual hamper calendar. Most CNY hampers are corporate (companies sending year-of-the-tiger or year-of-the-rabbit hampers to clients, partners, and senior staff), but a significant share go to personal recipients for family CNY gatherings and reunion dinner gifts.

The CNY hamper aesthetic is bold red and gold, with traditional symbolism baked into every element. The red represents prosperity and good fortune. The gold represents wealth and success. The hamper basket itself is often a keepsake piece (red lacquered, gold-trim, with traditional Chinese motifs). The contents typically include: traditional CNY snacks (pineapple tarts, love letters, kueh bangkit, bak kwa, dried abalone, dried scallops), premium teas (oolong, pu-erh, jasmine), bird's nest, whisky or fine wines for the older generation, fresh CNY flowers (pussy willow, peach blossoms, kumquat plants), and gold-foil wrapped chocolates. Every hamper includes a red packet (hongbao) gift tag with your CNY greeting.

Pricing starts at SGD 188 for the entry CNY hamper and reaches SGD 1,888 for the premium CNY tier with full bird's nest, premium teas, abalone, and substantial floral display. Most CNY hamper orders land in the SGD 288 to SGD 488 range. Every order ships free islandwide except during the four CNY studio closure days, includes a handwritten CNY card, and is delivered by our own driver. For multi-recipient corporate CNY dispatches, see our corporate flowers page for the 10 percent bulk discount. For CNY flower arrangements specifically (without the hamper), see Chinese New Year flower arrangements. How we coordinate CNY corporate dispatches in the 2-week pre-CNY rush

The 2 weeks before CNY are the most logistically complex period on our annual calendar. Corporate CNY orders concentrate into this window because most companies want their hampers delivered the week before the new year (when staff are still in the office) or just before reunion dinner night. We handle the volume with strict advance scheduling: corporate clients booking 10+ hampers typically lock in their orders in early January, specifying recipient lists, hamper specs, and dispatch dates. We assemble in batches throughout the 2-week window, dispatching according to the agreed schedule. For last-minute corporate orders within 5 days of CNY eve, capacity is tight and selection is limited. We strongly recommend booking by mid-January for the smoothest experience. Note: our studio closes for the first 4 days of CNY for staff to observe the holiday with their families, so deliveries do not happen during those 4 days.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I order Chinese New Year hampers in Singapore?

For best selection and corporate dispatches of 10+ hampers, order by 1 January or earlier. The 2 weeks before CNY are extremely busy and capacity fills quickly. Last-minute orders within 5 days of CNY eve are still possible but limit your hamper options. Our studio closes for the first 4 days of CNY itself for staff holiday observance.

What is included in a Chinese New Year hamper?

Depends on the tier. Entry hampers (SGD 188 to SGD 288) include traditional CNY snacks (pineapple tarts, love letters, bak kwa), premium tea, gold-wrapped chocolates, and a small floral accent. Mid-range (SGD 388 to SGD 488) adds bird's nest, premium tea selection, and larger floral display. Premium tier (SGD 588 and above) features dried abalone, dried scallops, full bird's nest set, premium whisky or wine, and substantial CNY flower arrangement.

Can I order Chinese New Year hampers for corporate client gifting?

Yes, this is one of our largest annual categories. For multi-recipient corporate dispatches (10 or more hampers), we offer a 10 percent bulk discount through the corporate flowers page. We can also add company-branded hongbao tags, logo cards, and coordinated dispatch scheduling. Book in early January for the smoothest experience.

Do you deliver Chinese New Year hampers during the actual CNY holiday?

No. Our studio closes for the first 4 days of CNY (typically the first day through the fourth day of the lunar new year) for staff to observe the holiday with their families. We do not accept deliveries during these 4 days. For orders placed before the closure, we schedule delivery for the day immediately before CNY eve. Deliveries resume from the fifth day of CNY onwards.

Can the hamper contents be customised for halal or vegetarian recipients?

Yes. For halal recipients we swap pork-based items (like bak kwa) with halal-certified beef or chicken alternatives, and remove alcohol. For vegetarian recipients we swap meat items with premium dried mushrooms, vegetarian abalone substitutes, and additional traditional vegetarian snacks. Flag dietary needs in the order notes or WhatsApp us.
