Exceptional service recovery and customer care! Recently ordered a floral centrepiece for a significant milestone event, and while there was initially a hiccup, the Singapore Florist team went above and beyond to make it right.

Ordered a bouquet for a friend's birthday and the delivery was right on time. Stems were fresh, the wrap was elegant, and the recipient sent me photos within an hour to thank me. Would order again without hesitation.
Beautiful and affordable bouquets! Singapore Florist has been my go-to for the past two years. Reliable, gorgeous arrangements, and the prices are honest. Highly recommend.
White roses for weddings, sympathy, and timeless elegance
White roses are the most versatile and emotionally weighty colour in the rose family. They carry purity, reverence, fresh starts, and timeless elegance, and they are appropriate for the widest range of occasions: weddings (the traditional bridal flower), sympathy and funerals (the universal symbol of remembrance), new-home congratulations, anniversaries that lean understated rather than grand, and modern minimalist gifting where deep red would feel too much. The Singapore Florist studio has been arranging white roses since 1987, and they are consistently in our top 5 most-ordered colours across the year.
The challenge with white roses is precisely their purity. Because there is no colour to hide behind, every petal flaw, every bruise, every slightly browning edge shows up immediately. This is why we are particularly strict about white rose sourcing and quality control. Our Ecuadorian premium tier uses the Playa Blanca cultivar, known for its tightly packed snow-white petals and long vase life. Our local tier uses Cameron Highlands hybrids that we hand-inspect at the studio and reject any stem with visible petal damage. The result is a rose that holds up to close-up wedding photography and sympathy displays where appearance matters most.
Pricing starts at SGD 88 for the 6-stem wraps and reaches SGD 488 for the 50-stem premium boxes. Most orders land in the SGD 128 to SGD 198 range. For wedding-specific arrangements, see our bridal bouquets collection or the wedding decor service page. For funeral and sympathy arrangements, browse the condolence flower stands collection. For mixed white-and-other-colour bouquets, browse our full rose collection or read our guide to rose colours and meanings. Read more in our guides to how long roses last and types of roses.
How we hand-inspect every white rose stem before arranging
White roses get a tighter quality control pass than any other colour we stock. When the shipment arrives at the studio (every Tuesday and Friday from Ecuador and Kenya), each stem is unwrapped individually and inspected for three things: petal symmetry (no bent or curled outer petals), petal cleanliness (no browning edges or bruise marks), and stem length consistency (within 2cm of the labelled grade). Any stem that fails the inspection is moved to our mixed-bouquet line where it can be hidden behind other flowers, or composted if the damage is severe. This hand-inspection step adds about 20 minutes per shipment but means the white roses you see in this collection meet a uniformly higher cosmetic standard than our other rose colours. Every stem is then conditioned for 12 to 24 hours in nutrient water before arranging.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do white roses symbolise?
Purity, new beginnings, reverence, remembrance, and timeless elegance. White roses are the traditional bridal flower (representing pure love and new beginnings) AND the traditional sympathy flower (representing remembrance and respect for the departed). The same flower, two very different emotional weights, depending on context.
Are white roses appropriate for weddings in Singapore?
Yes, they are the most traditional bridal rose colour. White roses are the default for church weddings, hotel ballroom weddings, and most ROM ceremonies. For modern brides who want something less expected, we also offer cream roses (slightly warmer) and pure ivory roses (slightly more textured). Browse our bridal bouquets collection for the full wedding range.
Can white roses be used for funerals and sympathy occasions?
Yes, and they are the most appropriate colour for sympathy in both Western and Chinese funeral tradition. White carnations and white lilies are also traditional funeral flowers. For full sympathy arrangements (standing tributes for funeral parlours), see our condolence flower stands collection.
How long do white roses last compared to red or pink?
The same: 5 to 7 days for the local Cameron Highlands tier and 7 to 10 days for our premium Ecuadorian Playa Blanca tier. Vase life is determined by the cultivar and care routine, not the colour. The 3-step care routine applies: re-cut stems, change water every 2 days, no direct aircon or sunlight.
Why are your white roses more expensive than coloured ones?
They are not significantly more expensive at the source, but white roses pass through a stricter quality control process at our studio (petal damage shows more on white than on red), which means a higher rejection rate from each shipment. The cost of those rejections is built into the listed price. The premium tier (Playa Blanca) is also a slightly more expensive cultivar to source from Ecuador than the standard red varieties.
