Artificial orchids that look real for years of indoor decor

Artificial orchids are one of the strongest-performing categories in the artificial flower market because real orchids can be intimidating for non-gardeners (they need specific care and can die from overwatering or wrong light), while artificial ones deliver the same visual aesthetic with zero maintenance. The Singapore Florist studio stocks premium silk and polyester orchid replicas from Japanese and German suppliers, sourced for their realistic petal texture and hand-shaped flower spikes. They are popular for restaurant interiors, hotel lobbies, corporate offices, condo show units, and homeowners who specifically want the orchid look without the maintenance.

The artificial orchid catalogue covers the same species as our live orchid collection, in replica form. Phalaenopsis (moth orchid) is the most popular replica because the large flat blooms photograph well and look distinctly orchid-like even at distance. Mokara is harder to replicate convincingly (the small spiky blooms are technically tricky to manufacture), so our Mokara replicas are mid-tier rather than premium. Cymbidium and Dendrobium are available in select colour variants. Most of our artificial orchid orders are Phalaenopsis in white, pink, or deep purple, presented in keepsake ceramic pots that mimic the real plant pots.

Pricing starts at SGD 88 for the compact single-stem Phalaenopsis replica and reaches SGD 388 for the premium 5-stem cluster in a designer pot. Most orders land in the SGD 128 to SGD 188 range. Every order ships free islandwide and arrives in a reusable ceramic or stoneware pot. For live orchid plants (which require care but flower for months), see our live orchid plants collection. For real cut orchid bouquets, see the orchid hand bouquets collection. For a wider range of artificial table arrangements, see the artificial table flowers collection. How premium artificial orchids are made to look indistinguishable from live

The premium artificial orchids we stock are made through a multi-step manufacturing process that mimics the texture and form of a real orchid bloom. The petals are die-cut from silk fabric (not polyester) and individually hand-painted to create the subtle colour gradients you see in real orchids. The flower spikes are wire-cored so they can be posed naturally rather than rigidly. The pot soil and stem base often include realistic bark or moss to complete the live-plant illusion. The result is an orchid that fools most casual observers at conversational distance. The premium-tier orchids we stock cost roughly 6x to 10x the price of bargain polyester orchids, but the visual difference is dramatic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will my guests notice the orchid is artificial?

At conversational distance (2m+), no, not unless they specifically look. Up close (less than 30cm), some can tell from the slightly uniform petal sheen and the lack of natural irregularities. Our premium silk orchids fool most casual observers on first glance. If you are concerned about close-up scrutiny, place the orchid where guests will see it from across the room rather than next to a seat.

How long do artificial orchids last?

3 to 5 years with proper care, sometimes longer. They do not wilt, drop blooms, or need water. Care: dust gently monthly, keep out of direct sunlight (which fades silk dye over years), wipe the pot clean. The petals slowly fade in colour after several years but the shape and structure remain.

Are artificial orchids cheaper than buying live orchid plants?

Initially yes, longer-term yes by a wide margin. A SGD 188 artificial orchid lasts 3 to 5 years. A SGD 188 live orchid lasts 2 to 4 weeks of flowering per cycle and re-flowers every 1 to 2 years. If you want continuous orchid presence in a room without the rebloom waiting period, artificial wins. If you enjoy gardening and watching plants grow, live wins.

Can I order an artificial orchid in a specific colour to match my decor?

Yes, our standard colour range covers white, pink, deep purple, yellow, and pattern variants. For custom colour matches (specific Pantone, brand colours, unusual shades) we can sometimes special-order from our Japanese supplier with 2 to 3 weeks lead time.

Are artificial orchids appropriate as a corporate gift?

Yes, especially for recipients who travel frequently, work long hours, or live in environments where live orchid care is impractical (very dry aircon, constant sunlight, no natural light). Artificial orchids land well as low-maintenance lifestyle gifts. For multi-recipient corporate dispatch, see the corporate flowers page.
