At conversational distance (2m+), no, not unless they specifically look. Up close (less than 30cm), some can tell from the slightly uniform petal sheen and the lack of natural irregularities. Our premium silk orchids fool most casual observers on first glance. If you are concerned about close-up scrutiny, place the orchid where guests will see it from across the room rather than next to a seat.
How long do artificial orchids last?
3 to 5 years with proper care, sometimes longer. They do not wilt, drop blooms, or need water. Care: dust gently monthly, keep out of direct sunlight (which fades silk dye over years), wipe the pot clean. The petals slowly fade in colour after several years but the shape and structure remain.
Are artificial orchids cheaper than buying live orchid plants?
Initially yes, longer-term yes by a wide margin. A SGD 188 artificial orchid lasts 3 to 5 years. A SGD 188 live orchid lasts 2 to 4 weeks of flowering per cycle and re-flowers every 1 to 2 years. If you want continuous orchid presence in a room without the rebloom waiting period, artificial wins. If you enjoy gardening and watching plants grow, live wins.
Can I order an artificial orchid in a specific colour to match my decor?
