Premium roses, the top 10 percent of what we source

Every rose on this page is cut from the top tier of our supply. Ecuadorian stems with 60cm lengths, heads that bloom to 6cm or wider, and varietals like Ohara, Juliet, Quicksand, Playa Blanca, Explorer, and Red Naomi that most Singapore florists do not keep in regular stock. The Singapore Florist studio has been sourcing premium roses since the early 2000s, and we reserve this collection for customers who want the biggest visual impact and the longest vase life for gestures that genuinely need to land hard. These are not everyday birthday roses. They are the roses for moments where the recipient will remember the bouquet specifically, years later.

Premium roses are the right choice for proposals, milestone anniversaries (5, 10, 25, 50 years), 99-stem grand gestures, wedding bridal bouquets for brides who want something distinctly different from the standard rose, and high-stakes corporate gifts going to founders or C-suite recipients. They are not the right choice if you just need a pretty bouquet for a regular birthday or a colleague's promotion (our standard rose collection is better value for everyday gifting and the difference in visual impact is smaller than the price gap suggests).

Pricing starts at SGD 188 for the 12-stem Quicksand boxes and reaches SGD 888 for the 99-stem Ohara premium arrangements. Most premium rose orders land in the SGD 288 to SGD 488 range (24 to 36 stems of Ohara, Juliet, or Playa Blanca). Every order includes free islandwide delivery, a handwritten card, same-day delivery for orders placed before 11am (the earlier cut-off reflects the limited premium rose stock we hold at any one time), and the Singapore Florist freshness guarantee. For the full rose palette at more accessible price points, see the regular rose collection. For the traditional Chinese grand-gesture 99-rose bouquet, see 99 roses. How we source premium roses directly from Ecuadorian farms

We work with two Ecuadorian rose farms directly (not through a Singapore wholesale importer) and receive weekly air shipments on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Ecuador's high-altitude equatorial climate produces the largest rose heads in the global cut-flower market, which is why every premium florist in Singapore sources from there. Our relationship with the farms is long enough that we get first-pick on new varietal releases (when Ohara Expressa launched in 2019, we had stock in the studio within two weeks). When the shipment lands, each bundle is unwrapped, cold-stored for one hour to acclimatise, then conditioned in nutrient water for 24 hours before any stem is arranged. This process is the same for every premium rose on this page, and it is the reason our 10-day vase life claim is reliable. Frequently Asked Questions

What makes a rose premium? What is the difference from a regular rose?

Three things: stem length (premium roses are 60cm or longer vs 40 to 50cm for regular), head size (premium heads bloom to 6cm+ vs 3 to 4cm), and varietal (premium tiers include Ohara, Juliet, Quicksand, Playa Blanca, which are grown in smaller volumes and cost more at source). Premium roses also typically last 7 to 10 days vs 5 to 7 for regular, because the larger stem holds more water.

Where are your premium roses sourced from?

Primarily Ecuador, with some premium lines from Kenya and the Netherlands (for the David Austin garden roses). Ecuador's high-altitude climate produces the largest heads and longest stems in the global rose market, which is why every premium florist in Singapore sources from there. We work with two Ecuadorian farms directly and receive weekly air shipments into the studio.

Are premium roses worth the higher price?

For milestone gestures, yes. A 12-stem premium Ohara bouquet at SGD 288 has roughly the same visual weight as a 24-stem regular rose bouquet, lasts longer, and carries a more elegant proportion. For everyday gifting (a colleague's birthday, a casual thank-you), the regular rose collection is better value. Match the bouquet tier to the weight of the occasion.

Can I order premium roses for a proposal in Singapore?

Yes, and proposals are the single most common use-case for this collection. For proposal bouquets we recommend the 50 or 99 stem tiers in red Ohara or deep red Explorer, delivered directly to the proposal location (restaurant, hotel, park) so you do not have to carry it yourself. WhatsApp us with your date and location at least 3 days ahead.

How long do premium roses last compared to regular roses?

7 to 10 days vs 5 to 7 for regular roses, with proper care. The difference comes from stem thickness (premium stems hold more water and nutrients) and the varietal genetics (Ohara and Juliet are bred for longer vase life). Follow our standard rose care routine and you will consistently get 10 days out of a premium bouquet.
