Special and rare rose varieties
This collection brings together our specialty rose varieties: roses outside the standard red, pink, white, and yellow palette. Black roses (for unconventional gifts, edgy aesthetic, or theatrical effect), blue roses (the chemically tinted Ecuador imports often used for proposals or unique gifts), rainbow roses (multi-colour single blooms used as conversation pieces), and the rare bi-colour and tipped varieties.
Each special variety has its own price point and lead time. Black roses are tinted Ecuador-grown stems with 7 to 10 day vase life, available year-round. Blue roses are chemically dyed white roses (no naturally blue rose exists) with the same vase life as red Ecuador. Rainbow roses are split-stem dyed white roses, used mostly as one-of-a-kind statement pieces for special occasions. We carry all three styles plus seasonal limited-edition varieties.
Pricing starts at SGD 18 per single rare-colour stem (rainbow, blue, black) and reaches SGD 488 for premium 24-stem special-rose hand bouquets. For the standard rose collection (red, pink, white, yellow, peach), see our full rose bouquet collection. For Ecuador-grown long-stem premiums, see Ecuador roses. For specific colour preferences, browse red roses, pink roses, white roses, and blue roses.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are blue roses real?
No naturally blue rose exists. Blue roses sold in Singapore are chemically dyed white roses, with the dye absorbed up the stem during the rose's growth or post-cut. Vase life is the same as the original white rose (7 to 10 days). They look striking but the dye cannot be replicated by attempting to do it at home.
Are black roses real?
Yes, true black roses are extremely rare deep-burgundy varieties that appear black, but most commercial black roses sold in Singapore are tinted dark-red or dark-purple Ecuador roses. Both look black to the eye in normal light.
How much do rainbow roses cost in Singapore?
From SGD 18 per single stem to SGD 488 for premium 24-stem hand bouquets. Most rainbow rose orders are single-stem novelty gifts or 6-stem mini bouquets in the SGD 78 to SGD 168 range.
When should I order special-colour roses for a unique occasion?
At least 3 working days in advance because rare-colour roses have limited stock. For black, blue, and rainbow stems specifically, 5 working days ahead is safer because we sometimes need to source from multiple farms.
Do special-colour roses last as long as regular roses?
Yes, the dyeing or tinting process does not shorten vase life. Black, blue, and rainbow roses last 7 to 10 days at Singapore room temperature with the same care (diagonal stem trim, water change every 2 days, no direct sunlight).
